LASP is a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization, funded by private donations, service organizations and our annual fund-raiser, The Penguin Paddle.
The Penguin Paddle is held on a Saturday in February.
This year's event is February 20th!
The paddle itself is a competition where guests purchase a trash bag, climb part way up the Yodeler slope, and lie on the bag and slide down the hill on their belly.
Paddle participants are grouped by age. When they start sliding it looks like a flock of penguins gliding down the snow. The festivities also include a cookout, raffles, and an auction.
